MediaTek has officially launched its 2nm flagship chip, the Dimensity 9600 Pro, featuring an AI-native architecture that supports on-device running of a 30B-parameter MoE model. The chip redesigns its dual NPUs, reducing power consumption of the ultra-efficient NPU by 40% and boosting per-watt compute of the ultra-performance NPU by 50%, scoring over 25,000 in the Zurich AI benchmark. Built on TSMC's 2nm process with 33 billion transistors, it also upgrades CPU, GPU, and imaging modules.
