Deezer has been tracking the number of AI-generated tracks on its platform since 2025, and the data shows a rapid and continuous increase. In January 2025, approximately 10,000 AI tracks were uploaded daily, accounting for 10% of that day's total uploads; by April of the same year, it rose to 20,000 (18%); in September, 30,000 (28%); and in November, 50,000 (34%). Entering 2026, January saw 60,000 AI tracks uploaded daily (39%), April reached 75,000 (44%), and in June the daily average exceeded 90,000, surpassing 50%.
Deezer CEO Alexis Lanternier stated that the company has been at the forefront of combating fraud and reducing payment dilution related to AI music for nearly two years. Now that half of daily uploads are AI-generated, the platform is taking additional measures to protect the rights of artists and songwriters while focusing on the music that users truly love.
