HKUST(GZ) and Tencent Open-Source VibeWorlding: A Vibe Coding Moment for 3D World Construction?

Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) and Tencent AI Platform have open-sourced VibeWorlding, a multimodal agent framework that autonomously constructs and edits interactive 3D worlds through multi-turn dialogue and tool use. They also released the VWE-Bench benchmark and VibeWorlding-Gym training framework. Experiments show their model VibeWorlder-30B-A3B surpasses GPT-5.5 and Qwen3.8-Max on the Pass@1 metric, making it the best-performing model on this task. This open-source initiative could drive a paradigm shift in 3D world construction, benefiting game development, digital twins, and embodied AI simulation.
